Solstice Sunset Paddle
Packing List
Water bottle – Stay hydrated, especially if it’s sunny or warm.
Sunscreen – UV rays can be strong.
Hat – For sun protection, ideally with a strap so it doesn’t fly off.
Sunglasses with a strap – Protect your eyes from glare and secure them with a strap to avoid losing them in the water.
Waterproof phone case or dry bag – To keep phones, keys, and other valuables dry.
Towel – For drying off after the tour.
Change of clothes– In case you get wet during the paddle.
Water shoes or sandals – Shoes that can get wet but still protect your feet.
Recommended Clothing
Quick-drying layers– Wear moisture-wicking or synthetic fabrics like polyester or nylon. Avoid cotton, which stays wet and heavy.
Light jacket or fleece– October can be cool, so bring a layer for warmth.
Swimsuit or quick-dry shorts/pants OR waterproof pants– Since sit-on-top kayaks may leave you a little wet, quick-drying or waterproof clothing is ideal.
Water shoes, sandals, or old sneakers– Footwear should be able to get wet and still provide protection.
Windbreaker or rain jacket – Weather can change quickly, so it’s good to have a light, water-resistant layer on hand.
