Louisville Improvisors celebrate their incredible milestone of 25 years of improv shows, festivals and workshops in the best way they know how, by putting on a show.
The show will feature a full night of music and improv featuring (of course) Louisville Improvisors, also an improv set by The Second Choice Players (an offshoot that came out of the Louisville Improvisors Training Center) and rock and roll music by The Get Down, an instrumental rock and roll band that has headlined shows around town and beyond and have also shared stages with legendary bands like NRBQ and Southern Culture on the Skids among others.
"It's hard to believe we've been around as long as we have, still continuing to grow and evolve, still putting on great shows like, Late Night Shakes, which just celebrated its 9th year as part of the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival. It's taken a lot of hard work by a lot of people over these 25 years to get us where we are. I certainly know I couldn't have done it all by myself that's for sure." said Chris Anger, co-founder and artistic director of Louisville Improvisors.
"As much as we want to celebrate this truly historic improv landmark, we are not a group that spends a whole lot of time looking backwards, because we both feel that our best work is still in front of us." Brian Hinds, Louisville Improvisors.
