Lisa Bielawa World Premiere: Violinist Tessa Lark and Louisville Orchestra
Composer Lisa Bielawa’s new work, a violin concerto titled PULSE, will be given its world premiere performances by the Louisville Orchestra led by Music Director Teddy Abrams with violin soloist and Kentucky native Tessa Lark. Lisa composed PULSE as a way of keeping her finger on the pulse of American life in a time of seismic change. It is dually a way to experience 250 years of the United States as told through the nation’s traditional musics.
