The 4th Annual Trooper Cameron Ponder Car Show set for August 8th, 2026
It’s that time of year, kids are out of school, vacations are being planned and of course The Annual Trooper Cameron Ponder car show is fast approaching. Hard to believe that this is year four! This event has continued to grow and support the community by using all money raised for scholarships in Memory of Trooper Cameron Ponder. Our community always shows up and shows out! So, shine up those cars, trucks and motorcycles for the show.
August 8th, 10 am to 3 pm Brandenburg Riverfront (125 Main St. in Brandenburg)
We are so thankful to and grateful for all our very generous sponsors and volunteers. There are far too many to list, but all are truly a blessing and the force behind the success of this event. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please let us know by contacting one of these numbers 270-980-1902 (or) 270-750-5474. As soon as the show ends, we are already planning for next year and it’s never too early to volunteer!
This year we have some exciting things happening. The car and motorcycle show with lots of trophies, food trucks, silent auctions, games, live auction, 50/50 tickets and so much more. We’re sure there is something for everyone.
We will be honoring the oldest living Kentucky State Trooper, Howard P. King, Sr. and his family this year. We will recognize both his remarkable life and his service during the earliest years of the Kentucky State Police. Trooper King will celebrate his 100th birthday in September, he was hired by the Kentucky State Police in 1948, graduating from the second KSP Academy class in March 1949 at approximately 22 years of age. Although his formal graduation occurred in 1949, he entered service during the agency’s formative operational period.
With the assistance of sponsors, volunteers and good old-fashioned hard work, we hope this year will be the biggest and best show yet! All are invited to join us!
Another interesting thing that makes this event special is that there are four Motorcycle Ministries that have joined forces and created a coalition. Every year each of the four ministries commit to a big community event that we all support. This year the annual car show is the event Heaven Saints Motorcycle Ministry/Bluegrass Chapter #954 has chosen to support as their main ministry opportunity. We work as one to ensure we can continue to support the biker community, as well as people in need, and spread the word of Christ. Working together is a great way to support something each chapter is invested in and do big things for the community. All for the glory of God.
The four ministries are: Heaven Saints Motorcycle Ministry, Bikers for Christ, Seed of Abraham and CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association). Any of the ministries can be found online for more information on local chapters. We are always here to volunteer, assist at events, help during disasters and pray with/for our communities.
