• Teen Mental Health Program: in an effort to combine psychology with music, the goal is to tailor resources within the program to the individual as a means to improve their mental health affected negatively by social isolation, family, and peer dynamics.
  • The first step in this process would be a one hour consultation to assess what issues the child is having. The instructor would work, over a four-week period, as a partner to facilitate a plan that would include coping strategies and writing topics and participants will be encouraged to describe emotions and situations that have negatively influenced their life, their relationships, and mindset. Topics will be refined and discussed in each session as journal entries become song lyrics.
  • After the initial 4 weeks, the child will be referred to one of the trained mentors. Over the course of 4 one-hour sessions, the teacher will work with the participant to create a song that reflects the child’s personality, lyrics and vision. The final step in this program will be a session in a recording studio. The session will be between 1 to 3 hours depending on the details of the song. Once complete, the client will receive a mixed and completed product that they can keep for themselves or have it shared on various streaming platforms.

About the course: 

Your 1st session will be unlike any other. It's an introductory session that will be used to get to know you, the student, better. Don't worry, there will be PLENTY of singing!

​We will use this time to develop a vocal profile for you. We'll conduct an assessment of your current skills. Including but not limited to: range, breath technique, natural voice placements, and so much more! We will also determine your voice classification at this time, so that you'll receive the optimal song selection(s). A lot goes into your first session and it takes time to get through.

4HR Private Voice Lesson

The 1st is a warmup section that prepares the student for the remainder of lesson and teaches students how to properly stretch their vocal chords, when rehearsing alone. 

The 2nd section is geared towards vocal exercises and vocalises. The section develops the student's breath control, stamina, range, and overall tone. This is the meatier part of the lesson. 

The 3rd and final section is set aside for solo repertoire. Here, you will take the exercises taught during the session and translate them into a practical application. This is where the rubber meets the road.
