Woofie's® of East Louisville, KY, Launches Premier Pet Care Services with Grand Opening Celebration
Woofie’s of East Louisville, serving East Louisville and surrounding areas, including Anchorage, Ashville, Eastwood, Fisherville, Glenview, Harrods Creek, Hollow Creek, Houston Acres, Hurstbourne, Jeffersontown, Louisville, Middletown, Prospect, Rolling Hills, Springhurst, and West Buechel, is now offering premier pet care services for dogs, cats, birds, lizards, and other animals. It will celebrate its official launch at Club K9, a dog-friendly bar and restaurant with a large dog park.
WHAT and WHEN:
Woofie’s of East Louisville will celebrate its launch on Saturday, June 1, from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
Woofie’s staff will offer Wash ‘n Go baths, nail trims and ear cleaning for dogs at discounted rates, while time and supplies permit.
A raffle will be held for a free Luxury Bath, T-shirts, and SWAG items, plus 20% off service rates for the those who book their first mobile pet spa or overnight pet sitting appointment during the event.

WHO:
The new Woofie’s franchise is the first to be independently owned and operated by a former veteran in the US Army, Mike LeMire. A disabled veteran, Mike spent 26 years on active duty in the Army, then 8 years as an instructor in strategic leadership for the U.S Army Sergeants Major Academy and 3 years in federal civilian service at GoodFellow Air Force Base as Chief of Faculty and Staff Development, before moving to Kentucky.
Woofie’s pet services comprise a wide range of services including pet sitting, dog walking, grooming in its mobile pet spa, and other personalized services for area pet owners who need an extra helping hand or want to pamper their pets.
Mike and his wife Heather love animals and have two dogs of their own: 1-year old Tucker, an English Cream Golden Retriever, who is on the van serves as their local mascot; Macho is a 14 year-old Pug. Their families will also be involved, as Madison, Heather’s daughter, is working with them; Heather’s daughter Lilly, a University of Kentucky Lexington student, will do pet-sitting over her summer break. Mike and Heather also are proud of son Greyson, who is heading to the Marine Corps.
“When my wife of 35 years died within 18 months of a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, I felt like things would never be good again. A while later, I went to visit my brother in Louisville. While there, I met Heather, who gave me hope. After conducting a long distance romance, I moved to Louisville and we married last year, and now we own a Woofie’s!” says Mike. “It’s exciting to be the first veteran owner of a Woofie’s franchise, and seems like a wonderful solution – spending time building a business in a growing enterprise and being able to love and care for pets all day – perfect for anyone who needs to build connections in a new place.
