ZineFest 2026
Western New York Book Arts Center is amped to announce our 4th Annual ZineFest, to be held at 468 Washington Street in downtown Buffalo on Saturday, August 15th, 2026 from 11am-4pm. This event is free and open to the public.
At ZineFest over 50 local zinemakers, poets, and artists gather to distribute, trade, & sell their publications & creations. ZineFest will be held in conjunction with a Teen Zine Exhibition in Book Arts’ Main Gallery, featuring zines and art by teens involved in local arts and civic programs.
About ZineFest
Held in all three floors of 468 Washington Street, ZineFest will feature:
Zine fair: Comic artists, poets/writers, activists, and visual artists from WNY and beyond selling/distributing their zines (self-published, DIY publications), stickers, prints, and other one-of-a-kind ephemera.
Printmaking Demos: Participants will be able to print a zine on our antique letterpress, or screen print a t-shirt in our Print Studio.
ZineFactory: From Aug 8th-14th, Book Arts will transform into a free community publishing hub where artists/writers, students, and first-time makers, can create their own zines — with access to equipment, materials, and guidance, empowering participants to share their stories through the timeless medium of print.
Community Events: Leading up to the event, Book Arts & collaborating organizations will host a series of zine-making workshops, poetry readings, artist talks, shows, and other zine-related events throughout Buffalo.
Presenting Sponsor is Daemen University. Community sponsors include Gutter Pop Comics & More, bxi consultants, inc, Burning Books, and Just Buffalo Literary Center.
