Young People's Symphony Orchestra 88th Spring Concert
Young People’s Symphony Orchestra 88th Spring Concert – Saturday, May 17, 2025, 7:30 PM at First Church Berkeley (2345 Channing Way, Berkeley, CA 94704); program includes Mozart’s Magic Flute Overture, Wieniawski’s Violin Concerto No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 22 (Mvt. 3) featuring Carolyn Ren, and Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme featuring Donghu Kim, both winners of YPSO’s annual concerto competition, and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances.
YPSO will also host a free open dress rehearsal on Friday, May 16, 2025, 6:00–9:30 PM for young children accompanied by an adult, school groups, and senior citizens; register at tinyurl.com/ypso-open-rehearsal.
Alongside its May 17 Spring Concert, YPSO will launch its annual online auction fundraiser (May 17–31) to raise for music education, scholarships, and outreach, featuring concert tickets, dining, experiences, and more—donate or sponsor for visibility at ypsomusic.org; questions: [email protected].
