Young at Art

This year’s event highlights the talents of students from 18 Manatee County schools, bringing together an inspiring collection of artwork from young artists of all ages. In a unique island-wide collaboration, 22 local businesses throughout Anna Maria Island are proudly displaying student artwork within their establishments, transforming the community into an open-air gallery for residents and visitors to enjoy. Participating businesses include: AMI Outfitters, Beach Bums, Olive Oil Outpost, Beach Dog & Supply Co., Domino’s, Holmes Beach City Hall, Island Fresh Market, Island Therapeutics, Kiwi Style Fish & Chips, LaPensee Plumbing, Pools & Air, Paradise Bagels & Café, Pizzano’s Pizza & Grinderz, Salon Salon AMI, Salty Beach Boutique, Scott’s Deli, Sun & Surf Beach Shop, Vinny’s Italian Kitchen, Vintage Beach Boutique, AMI Frozen Yogurt, Holmes Beach Library, Silver Surf Resort, BridgeWalk Resort, and Tortuga Inn Beach Resort. In addition to the island-wide exhibit, artwork will be available for viewing at the Anna Maria Island Community Center on Friday, April 3rd. The celebration will conclude on Saturday, April 4th at noon, where awards will be presented to the top three winners in each of four categories, recognizing outstanding artistic achievement. “We are thrilled to bring the community together to celebrate the incredible creativity of our local students,” said the Anna Maria Island Art League. “This event would not be possible without the generous support of our local businesses who have opened their doors to showcase this artwork.” The Anna Maria Island Art League extends special thanks to our sponsors for their generous support: Grooms Automotive & Detailing, Vinny’s Italian Kitchen, LaPensee Plumbing, Pools & Air , and Silver Resorts.
