Writers Live at the Library: The 14 Gold Street Series January 2025 -- Celebrating the Art of Poetry-- Presents Poets Nick Flynn & Kelan Nee
Nick Flynn is an award-winning American writer--poet, playwright, memoirist. He has 13 published books to his credit included 6 books of poetry, a play, and 4 memoirs. His 2004 memoir was made into a major motion picture starring Robert DeNiro and Julianne Moore. Since 2004, he has been a Professor on the Creative Writing Faculty at the University of Houston. Copies of his latest book of poetry, Low (2023), will be available for sale and for signing after the program.
Kelan Nee is a student of Nick Flynn’s, whose first book of poetry, Felling (2024) was 2023 Vassar Miller Prize in Poetry winner. Copies of Low will be available for sale and for signing after the program.
