Writers In The Round
Three powerhouse songwriters join forces to present an in the round event sponsored by The Tampa Bay Songwriter's Guild : Award-winning singer-songwriter Bud Tower hails from New Orleans and Nashville and now lives in Florida. His songs have been recorded by Lynyrd Skynyrd, Hank Williams, Jr., Buddy Jewell, Zydeco artist Waylon Thibodeaux and many indie artists in the U.S. and Europe. His songs have been in major screen works including movie Foodfight! starring Charlie Sheen and Eva Longoria and documentary One Note At A Time, chronicling New Orleans’ recovery from Hurricane Katrina, and TV series Panhandle, streaming on Spectrum TV. He is joined by Grace Hartly Morrison, whose unique brand of “saltwater country” has established her as a confident, refreshing voice in country-pop. With performances at Nashville’s Bluebird Café and co-writes with multi-Grammy winner Lori McKenna (Humble and Kind) and hit songwriter Barbara Cloyd (I Guess You Had to be There) under her belt, Grace made a name for herself in 2022 at songwriter festivals from Massachusetts to Montana. Also joining is award winning songwriter Jane Ross Fallon who has been called A “quintessential folk storyteller performer” ,
Jane has won over 40 songwriting awards including first place in the Woody Guthrie Songwriting Competition, and grand prize in the American Songwriter Magazine Lyric Contest, and appeared in over 16 folk festivals in 28 states and 5 countries, including the Clancy Brothers Festival, the Smoky Mountain Songwriters Festival, and the Copenhagen Songwriters Festival. Emulating the well-known in the round format made famous by the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the songwriters will present the songs and relate the stories behind them.
