Wreckless Strangers, Bay Area Americana troubadours noted for their prolific songwriting and energetic live shows, return to Marin County with a show at Peri’s in downtown Fairfax on Friday, April 7. Dating back to 1948, Peri’s is a fourth-generation family-owned establishment and one of Marin County’s most beloved live music venues. Tickets for the show are available online now.
Wreckless Strangers, fresh off a successful Southern California road trip, features Amber Morris (premier Bay Area vocalist and voice coach for members of Journey, Eric Martin Band) on vocals; David Noble (Pardon The Interruption, Poor Man's Whiskey) on lead guitar, vocals; Joshua Zucker (The Jones Gang, Rowan Brothers) on bass; Austin de Lone (Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, The Fabulous Thunderbirds) on keys, vocals; Mick Hellman (The Go To Hell Man Band) on drums and vocals; and Rob Anderson (repeat world champion cyclist) on guitar. Over the course of their six years together, the Wreckless Strangers have released two records and played countless gigs around the greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Their latest album, When the Sun and a Blue Star Collide, was produced by GRAMMY-winning artist/producer/guitarist Colin Linden (Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Keb' Mo’, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant).
Musically, the band maintains a touch of that freewheeling, rough-around-the-edges spirit. The six seasoned performers have a broad range of influences which combine to create an intoxicating sonic potion enhanced by lush, riveting harmonies and showcasing lead vocalists Amber Morris and David Noble. Longtime fans agree the Wreckless Strangers have evolved as a unit, expertly honing a sound that they have aptly dubbed “California Country Soul.” Fans can stream their music on a variety of music platforms.
