The Voice Foundation, an international organization head quartered in Philadelphia announces World Voice Day celebrations in Philadelphia. World Voice Day was established as a special day of awareness, recognition, and celebration of the human voice.
In 2015 the theme is VOICE, The Original Social Media.
Commemorated each year on April 16th, World Voice Day owes its roots to a group of Brazilian voice care professionals who decided to celebrate the voice in 1999 by establishing Brazilian Voice Day.
Since that time, this day has grown to become a global day of recognition. In Philadelphia the following events will take place:
Can't Help Lovin' That Voice of Mine Concert and Reception.
April 16th 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Academy of Vocal Arts
1920 Spruce St. Philadelphia 19103
Pausing to recognize World Voice Day:
A concert and a toast featuring the voices of members of The Voice Foundation, Academy of Vocal Arts, and Philadelphia Ear, Nose and Throat Associates. A reception follows. This event is open and free to the public.
PECO Crown Lights will announce World Voice Day.
A vocal care workshop will be given to the Philadelphia Girls Choir. (Closed members only event, media invited)
