World Premiere of 'Baristas vs Billionaires' Film
Experience the world premiere of the feature documentary “Baristas vs Billionaires” on opening night of the 2025 Buffalo International Film Festival. Narrated by Academy Award winner Susan Sarandon, this important documentary investigates and exposes Starbucks’ illegal union-busting tactics. In the film, Buffalo-based baristas organize and take action, explaining in their own words about how they’re going to win this fight for their union—Starbucks Workers United (SBWU)— and their livelihoods! The event includes a BIFF-moderated Q&A featuring director Mark Mori and producer Alec Baldwin on stage with barista Gianna Reeve and colleagues describing their years-long battle for a contract.
