WordStage Literary Concerts presents "A Salon for Mr. Lincoln"
The program offers biographical insights of the President, from his early years as an Illinois lawyer to his ascendency to the White House. It highlights his great love of music, which excited, inspired and soothed him. Besides the concerts in the the White House he and Mary Todd hosted in the White House's Red Room he often attended, sometimes incognito, musical presentations in Opera Houses, Music Halls, and around campfires in the great outdoors.
