By the end of class, you'll have a strong understanding of how to safely use the woodshop and its tools. Plus, you'll make your very own cheese board to take home!
What You Will Learn:
Woodshop safety rules and best practices
How to safely operate the jointer and planer
How to use the miter saw and band saw
How to shape and smooth your work with the router and sander
How to plan and complete a woodworking project from start to finish
Upon completion, and with a pay-what-you-can donation to The Foundry, you'll be eligible to use our Makerspaces during Open Maker Hours (Mondays 6–9pm & Saturdays 9am–1pm) to continue building your skills and work on personal projects with support from our trained supervisors.
