Woodlawn Plantation's Anti-Slavery Quaker Colony
Join Friends of Historic Huntley for their annual meeting featuring speaker Martha Claire Catlin. As historian of the Alexandria Friends Meeting at Woodlawn, Ms. Catlin extensively researched Woodlawn Plantation and the northern Quakers who farmed the land without slave labor. The lecture is free and open to all, members and non-members alike.
