Will Kempe's Players to perform The Alchemist at SLCA
Expect witty barbs, disguises, twisty plots, and pratfalls as Subtle, Face and Doll relieve the gullible of their purses and their self-respect. Will Kempe's Players present early modern plays with "Original Practices--"using the quick, precise speech and un-cluttered staging that they were written for. The action is audience-focused and WKP invites the audience to sit up close and lean in. Toddlers and younger children will not be interested in the concerns of the comedy; tweens, teens and adults who love language and irony will have a rollicking good time.
