The 2024 DNC is poised to be a historic event as the first convention to nominate a candidate other than the winner of the primaries since 1968. This panel will explore how important historical events — including the 1964 and 1968 DNCs — have led us to this current political moment and what we can learn from them. Hear from panelists who were a part of history in 1964 and 1968 as they share how they’ve seen our future shaped before their eyes.
This event is part of the Annenberg Roundtable discussion series, hosted by USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania for the 2024 Democratic National Convention. All events are free and open to the public.
