Whataburger locations in the Greater Nashville Area are joining forces with locations across Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana to help prepare children for the return to school by hosting a school supply drive. Participating restaurants across the four-state region will collect school supplies and other essential classroom items in designated donation bins in stores. Customers who donate school supplies will receive one FREE Whataburger Jr. coupon.
Additionally, the Franklin, Tennessee, restaurant will host a back-to-school “Whatabash” for area students and their families. Whataburger Franklin will be handing out 500 FREE backpacks to kids 12 and under. Throughout the event, there will be fun surprises, food and drink samples and interactive stations, creating fun for the whole family. Attendees can expect a lively DJ, backpack personalization station, games and much more.
The Middle-Tennessee school supply drive is a partnership with United Way, the local arm that mobilizes communities to advance the common good across 42 counties in Middle Tennessee. Other participating Southeast states are working with other local community groups and non-profits to distribute the school supplies across their communities.
All 19 Whataburger locations across Middle Tennessee are participating in collecting school supplies. To find the location nearest you, visit https://locations.whataburger.com/tn.html

Please ask an employee on-site if you have questions about the initiative or need help locating the bin. To make sure Whataburger can share the love with as many neighbors as possible, there is a limit of one free coupon per customer, no matter the size of the donation, now through Aug. 8, 2026. Supply ideas include: pencils, crayons, notebooks, folders, scissors, glue sticks, markers, etc.
