Warwick – Mark your calendars! The West Bay RI Community proudly announces the Annual Strides for Independence 1k/5k Walk-a-thon, set for Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the scenic Goddard Memorial Park. This milestone event celebrates discovery, empowerment and inclusion, offering fresh opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to unlock new experiences, build valuable skills and strengthen community ties.
This annual Walk-a-thon invites the community to step forward together, supporting initiatives that enrich the lives of people with IDD. Through your participation and generosity, you help pave pathways to independence, creating diverse opportunities tailored to each person's unique gifts, interests, and dreams.

Ways You Can Participate:
Join the Walk: Gather your friends, family and colleagues to walk alongside us. Register individually or assemble a team, making strides toward an inclusive and dynamic future for all.
Sponsor the Event: Show your organization's commitment to making a difference by becoming a sponsor. Various sponsorship levels are available, each providing visibility and meaningful community impact.
Donate: Contributions big and small make a significant impact. Donations directly support innovative programs and activities that foster skills, independence and community involvement for people with IDD.
