We Rise! A Concert by Accidental Sisters
Accidental Sisters, a women’s a capella vocal ensemble, returns for their annual concert on Friday, May 9 at Central Baptist Church in Jamestown at 7 PM. The concert is entitled We Rise! and will include global repertoire ranging from American folk ballads to pieces from Lithuania, Kenya, Macedonia, and more. The program also includes music by Sweet Honey in the Rock, the Wailin’ Jennys, the Indigo Girls, and The Staves. Local musicians Matt and Judy Bolles will join the group with fiddle, banjo, and guitar and Matt Schreiner will accompany with African drums. Accidental Sisters will also feature The Kelly Sisters, a Newport based vocal trio. Proceeds will go to The Refugee Dream Center in Providence, RI.
