Walkabout Clearwater Chorus & Coffeehouse featuring Professor Louie & the Crowmatix
The Walkabout Clearwater Chorus and Coffeehouse, now in our 37th season, has been carrying on the tradition of our founder, Pete Seeger in bringing social awareness through folk music. On Oct. 19, 2024 we will feature Grammy Nominated Professor Louie & The Crowmatix. There repertoire is steeped in Rock, Blues, Gospel and American Roots music. PL&C began as the studio backing band for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, The Band. PL&C have been inducted into Blues Hall Of Fame, New York Chapter and hold a permanent place in the Canada South Blues Museum. Professor Louie is the recipient of The Robert H. Chambers Award for Excellence in the Traditional Arts from Common Ground On The Hill. The musicians in The Crowmatix are: Professor Louie (keys-accordion-vocals), Miss Marie (vocals-percussionist-keys), Frank Campbell (bass-vocals), John Platania (guitar-vocals), Todd Mihan (guitar-vocals), and Dan Hickey (drums).
