The annual nationwide event for ovarian cancer awareness, Turn the Towns Teal Inc., is when teal ribbons are tied in communities to alert woman and men to log onto the website to learn the subtle and silent symptoms of ovarian cancer. Risk factors are also noted. Ovarian cancer is usually diagnosed in the late stages and strikes girls and women of all ages. There is no diagnostic test and the earlier the diagnosis the better the prognosis. Please volunteer this Saturday to help tie 400 ribbons in Doylestown Borough. Meet at Starbucks, State & Main Streets, 8/30/25. Sign is at 9:15AM followed by a brief ceremony honoring women who are in treatment and also reading the names to acknowledge those who have lost their battle. Then eight teams with assigned streets disburse to tie the ribbons. Come help, please! For information or if you are a survivor and would like to join us, please contact Joan Doyle, 215-262-4242 or [email protected].
