Come out to help us restore Wizard Ranch Nature Preserve. We will be working on invasive removal as part of a comprehensive eco-restoration program.
What to Expect: We will be working on potentially steep, uneven terrain with multiple trip hazards using sharp hand tools to remove invasive species. Hand tools and work gloves will be provided. There is a port-a-john available on site. This event is for ages 10 and up (participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).
What to Bring: Dress for the weather; long pants and closed toe shoes are a must. Bring drinking water. Feel free to bring your own gloves.
Animal Policy: Service animals active or in training are welcome. Please leave all pets at home.
Event Leader: Mary Patterson is an Interpretive Ranger with the Lancaster Conservancy. She is passionate about wildflowers, butterflies and all the wonderful things that can be discovered outside.
Cancellation Policy: This event will be held rain or shine, with cancellation for severe weather made at the time of the event. If the Conservancy reschedules the event, attendees will be emailed, and tickets will be automatically moved to the new date. If the Conservancy cancels the event, attendees will be notified via email when possible and refunded.
