Volunteer Clean Up at Floyd Hill Meadow
Mountain Area Land Trust (MALT) needs volunteers to pick up trash and pull noxious weeds at its newly acquired property – Floyd Hill Meadow (FHM). This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and encourage friends, neighbors and co-workers to support a good cause. Volunteers should bring work gloves, a water bottle and wear sunscreen, durable clothes and shoes.

Where
FHM is located at the intersection of Homestead Road and Beaver Brook Canyon Road, accessible from the I-70 and Floyd Hill/Beaver Brook exits; catty-corner to Floyd Hill Open Space in Evergreen. Parking is available along the pull off by the meadow and the Park-n-Ride.
What
This project involves pulling noxious weeds and picking up trash.
Why
FHM serves as a grazing area for wildlife and there is a walking trail used by students and the community. Controlling noxious weeds is vital to the overall health of the meadow. With limited staff available, volunteer support is appreciated!
Eligibility
MALT recommends this volunteer activity for those age eight (8) years and older. Youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult 21 years or older.
