Violin & Verse – A Gala Celebration of Music and Word
Renowned violinists Katie Lansdale & Gary Capozziello & acclaimed actor Caroline Kinsolving present an exciting and transformative program featuring musical works by LeClair, Prokofiev, & others interwoven with readings of dramatic monologues & poetry.
The event is hosted by Promisek located on its 300 acres of woodlands in Bridgewater, CT at the confluence of the Housatonic and Shepaug Rivers. The concert will be in the intimate setting of the beautiful music room of St Cecilia’s with it acoustically perfect vaulted ceiling. Refreshments will be served on the adjacent terrace overlooking the historic Beatrix Farrand where you can meet the performers and join in a champagne toast.
Your donation will benefit the Student Scholarship Fund of the Solo String Workshops at Promisek which gives under-resourced students the opportunity to participate in these week-long professional workshops.
Lead by master violinists Katie Lansdale and Gary Capozziello, participants develop their craft and revitalize their musical spirit. Joining with other aspiring pre-professional musicians, they form a community immersed in musical growth and the joy of music-making. Many return year after year, finding these workshops vital to their artistic and personal growth.
