Vino Carta Solana Beach and its resident Chef Juan Gonzalez of Mesa Agricola are hosting a five-course Eternal Harvest Dinner on Saturday, November 4. Eternal Harvest embodies the essence of both Dia de los Muertos and Samhain, a Gaelic festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the darker half of the year. It is a night to honor the Mexican and Celtic roots that Chef Juan and his partner Megan Strom, who farms their ¼-acre plot of land in Valley Center, share together. There is one seating only at 6:00 p.m., and reservations can be made here with the option for private dining or farmer’s table seating. It’s $120 plus taxes per person at time of booking. Optional wine pairings are available for $40, which is due at the conclusion of dining. The menu includes colcannon, short rib pozole, roasted tromboncino squash, and local mahi mahi.
