Very Large Array (VLA) Day Trip & Tour - Saturday, August 3

The Very Large Array (VLA) is one of New Mexico's best-known scientific sites. The VLA is a radio telescope located west of Socorro and has been in operation since 1975. This event includes transportation to the VLA, a tour of the visitor center and museum, and antennae.
Cost is $5 per person + $5 admission to the VLA. All participants must sign a waiver no later than Saturday, July 27. Please call the museum for registration and additional information.
Schedule for August 3:
8:30 AM - Meet at museum
9:00 AM - Leave museum by van
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM - Arrive at VLA, guided tour of VLA
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - Lunch (bring a sack lunch) and explore
2:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Depart VLA and return to museum
All participants should bring a sack lunch, water, hat, and sunscreen.
