URBAN-15's Open Call for 2024-2025 Performance Season

Open Call for Dancers/Drummers for 2024-25 Performance Season of stage and festival productions We’re excited to announce our FREE in-person workshop series at our studio (2500 S. Presa) in preparation for 2024-2025 ensemble member auditions. These classes will offer an introduction to URBAN-15’s performance styles, which offer a range of Afro-Latin, Brazilian, Caribbean, and African traditions. At the end of this open call period, URBAN-15 will hold auditions based on materials from the classes. • Classes will be split into two sections: every Monday in March for Dance and every Monday in April for Percussion. • For interested Dancers: Classes held on MONDAYS – March 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th. • For interested Drummers: Classes held on MONDAYS – April 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th • Workshops begin and end promptly from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. • Interested parties may sign up for free by emailing [email protected] or calling our studio at (210) 736-1500 —————————————————————————————– Afro-Latin Movement Infused Dance and Percussion Classes URBAN-15’s FREE Afro/Latin-Infused Dance and Percussion classes at Berta Almaguer Dance Studio & Community Center will be offered as an intergenerational activities for participants of all ages working together. These classes bring a mix of music and dance practices from the Afro/Latin and contemporary traditions. At the end of this open call period, URBAN-15 will hold auditions based on materials from the classes. • Mirroring our regular open call, this workshop series will be split into two sections, dance classes every Saturday in March and percussion classes every Saturday in April. • For interested Dancers: Classes held SATURDAYS – March 2nd, 9th, 16th , 23rd and 30th • For interested Drummers: Classes held SATURDAYS – April 6th , 13th , 20th , and 27th • Workshops will be held at Berta Almaguer Dance Studio & Community Center at 138 S Josephine Tobin Dr. begin and end promptly from 10 to 11 am. • Interested parties may register for free here Contact [email protected] or call our studio at (210) 736-1500 for any questions.
