    03/14/2023 12:01 AM 04/10/2023 11:59 PM America/Atikokan UNO Writing Center's 1st Annual Writing Contest The UNO Writing Center is excited to announce their 1st Annual Writing Contest, which will be open to submissions between 3/13 – 4/10 from all Nebraska residents, or enrolled remote Nebraska university students in other states. The contest theme is: what it means to be a Maverick, which is up to your own creative interpretation. The three genres to submit to are flash fiction, flash creative non-fiction, and poetry (with a word count of up to 750 words.) Winners in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places per category will receive a certificate, UNO Writing Center swag, and digital publication on the UNO Writing Center’s website.
