This seminar will discuss ways the self-advocate (person living with a disability) can help themselves; or a parent, caregiver, guardian, friend, advocate, caseworker, and more (of people living with disabilities) can help someone they love who lives with a disability get the job they are seeking! If you or someone you love with a disability has been feeling stuck, struggling to secure a job they love- if you want answers to questions, guidance, and a workshop for their path- This is the event for you! We're working to address a significant gap: -To bring clarity on where to start to help prepare your child or teen with a disability for the workforce. -To address the lack of support as well as clarity of next steps for individuals with disabilities after they exit the K–12/and Special Education Transition in the education system. -To help adults with disabilities who have struggled to secure or retain a job. -To help parents, families, caregivers, guardians, and others who work with people with disabilities who don’t know where to start in providing resources for their loved ones or clients. Lisa Toth, founder of Rise Staffing, an expert Employment Consultant, and an award-winning author, will lead the seminar. She specializes in helping individuals with disabilities find employment that aligns with their interests and strengths. During the session, Lisa will provide: -How to navigate the job search for individuals with disabilities -How families can provide the right support and preparation for a successful job search -Strategies to help overcome the challenges of securing meaningful employment -Answers to your most pressing questions -And much more!
