Twelve Maids: Songs from the Journey

Twelve Maids: Songs from the Journey is a one-night-only fundraising cabaret to support a new musical headed Off-Broadway next summer. Inspired by Homer's Odyssey, Twelve Maids reimagines the classic epic from the perspective of the palace maids. The musical features a book & lyrics by local Sarasota creator Amanda Fischler and music by Amanda Fischler & Adam Gloc. Following several successful staged concerts at high-profile venues throughout NYC (including 54 Below and The Green Room 42), the show has now been selected for an Off-Broadway residency. The production will make its world premiere at The Players Theatre in Manhattan from June 17-July 18, 2027. The event will run from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with one intermission. In an intimate evening of music and storytelling, Fischler, joined by local Sarasota artists Serenna Jones and Makena Benson, will sing some of their favorite songs that connect to the themes of the musical, as well as perform a select handful of songs from the show. General admission tickets are $35, and a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $50. VIP tickets come with preferred seating and the ability to request a song from their "personal jukebox" to be performed at the event.
