Trivia Night
Assumption Greek Orthodox Philiptochos will host its 2nd Trivia Night. The mission of the Philoptochos Society is to help the poor, the destitute, the hungry, the aged, the sick, the unemployed, the orphaned, the imprisoned, the widowed, those with disabilities and the victims of disasters. Proceeds from the event will fund the following programs:
• FOCUS – provides to the needs of impoverished families, homeless persons, and those re-entering society after incarceration.
• Children's Division of Dept. of Family Services – provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals to approximately 50 families in need, as well as Christmas gifts for approximately 30 families in need.
• Prison Ministries – provides for the families of incarcerated people.
• Women’s Safe House – provides emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy & support for women and families affected by domestic & sexual abuse.
• We also provide school supplies for needy children and schools, scholarships for college students, and assist families in our surrounding communities to pay utility bills, medical and funeral expenses.
Tables of 8 are $200 or $25 per person and include admission, beer and soda. There will be a silent auction, raffle baskets, and 50/50. Attendees may bring their own food.
