Treasure Coast Theatre holds auditions for Neil Simon's "Jake's Women"
Treasure Coast Theatre will hold auditions for this Neil Simon classic on Sunday, February 26th and Monday, February 27th from 7pm to 9pm.
Auditions will be held in a conference room at the Port St Lucie Holiday Inn, located at 10120 US-1 North, Port St Lucie, directly across US 1 from the theatre.
In this Broadway hit, Jake is a novelist who is more successful with fiction that with life. He faces a marital crisis by daydreaming about the women in his life. The wildly comic and sometimes moving flashbacks played in his mind are interrupted by visitations from the actual females in his life.
Performance dates are Friday-Sunday, May 12-21, 2023. Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 8pm and Saturday and Sunday matinee performance begin at 2pm.

Characters:
JAKE: Male, 45-60
A successful writer who struggles to control his own characters.
MAGGIE: Female, 35-45
Jake’s fiercely independent estranged second wife.
KAREN: Female, 40-50
Jake’s tough-as-nails divorced younger sister.
MOLLY (age 12): Female, 11-16
Jake’s daughter as he will always picture her.
MOLLY (age 21): Female, Late teens to 20s
Jake’s daughter in real life, despite his unwillingness to accept that fact. Both in real life and fantasy, she is supportive of her father.
EDITH: Female, 30-60
Jake’s blatantly honest therapist.
JULIE: Female , 20-25
Jake’s seemingly perfect deceased first wife.
SHEILA: Female, 30-40
Jake’s girlfriend, who attempt to fill the void with, left by his crumbling marriage
