There's the story of a dog who was elected mayor of a small California town, of a sanctuary for senior dogs, of dog-sledding in Greenland, two dogs crossing the Pyrenees, and so much more. A portion of the proceeds from the festival go to the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter.
