Together In Pride

This free event is open to everyone. Join us as we come together to celebrate and uplift Mountain View’s LGBTQIA2S+ community. FAMILY FUN ZONE Get ready for smiles and sparkle! Enjoy face painting, dazzling hair tinsel, inflatable slides, a photo booth with instant prints, button making, a mini-carnival, lively tunes from our DJ, roaming entertainment, a visit with the bookmobile, and so much more! COMMUNITY ART PROJECT Be a part of something beautiful and meaningful! Inspired by the historic AIDS Quilt, this collaborative art project invites community members to contribute their unique creativity to a shared canvas. Each small piece will come together to reveal a powerful collective design. UNDERSTANDING PRIDE WALK During the event, we invite you to take a moment to learn about the rich history of the LGBTQ+ community and the significance of Pride through informative signage thoughtfully placed throughout the park. COMMUNITY BOOTHS Local non-profits, who provide support or provide resources to the LGBTQ+ community, will be hosting booths during the event. LIVE PERFORMANCES We're proud to showcase a dynamic and diverse selection of performers, each a shining example of Pride in action. DJ China G On the stage: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. California native and longtime San Francisco resident DJ China G (Elyssa Pon) has been an international LGBTQ+ DJ and promoter for 25 years. Co-founder of legendary queer parties, she's been featured in SF publications and is a resident DJ at iconic Bay Area venues like Jolene's and The Stud. DJ China G has graced major events including SF Pride's Dyke March, Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend, and international LGBTQ+ gatherings, known for her open-format style blending everything from Top 40 to throwbacks and unconventional mixes. Snaxx On the stage: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Snaxx is a bay area drag queen, mostly residing at OASIS in San Francisco. She won Heklina's Star Search Pageant in 2019 and was a finalist in Alaska's Drag Queen of the Year pageant in 2023, winning the best talent category. Love, Pizza, and Rainbows! Izzy and the Dyzzy Lyzerds On the stage: 11:25 a.m. Izzy and the Dyzzy Lyzerds are a teen band formed by students from Mountain View and Los Altos High School. They enjoy playing rock, blues, and folk, and approaching their music with a positive, energetic style. Cheer SF On the stage: 11:50 a.m. & 1:20 p.m. SF Cheer is an adult, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting beneficiaries that assist those living with HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and other life-challenging conditions. SF Cheer inspires, entertains, and amazes audiences through powerful performances while challenging others to be their best and supporting organizations that strengthen our communities. Anaís Azul On the stage: 12:20 p.m. Anais Azul (they/them) is a Peruvian-born, California-raised composer, vocalist, and charango player. Their music bridges Andean traditions with experimental sound, crafting trilingual songs—from intimate storytelling to trance-inducing soundscapes. Dubbed "the Peruvian Björk" (Bay Times), their 2024 debut album "Simp’ashani: Canciones Trenzadas" reflects their commitment to decolonization and honoring Indigenous practices. Whether performing or teaching, Anais’ work—described as "stunningly honest and vulnerable"—celebrates queer resilience and cultural pride. El Camino Reelers On the stage: 12:50 p.m. El Camino Reelers is the LGBTQ square dancing club of Silicon Valley. Recently celebrating their 40th Anniversary, they are one of the oldest and best-known gay square dance clubs in the country. The club dances on Tuesday evenings at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Palo Alto, providing a smoke- and alcohol-free environment for the LGBTQ community and their allies to meet, socialize and have fun. You don't need a partner and you don't need to know anything about dancing to attend classes. At Together with Pride, the caller will take the Reelers through some short square dance demonstrations on stage. Maggie Gently On the stage: 1:50 p.m. Maggie Gently (she/her) is an indie/alt-rock artist based in San Francisco. Originally from New England, Maggie moved across the country for a girl (now, her wife), and in the process, fell in love with transitions, slowness, and California. Maggie Gently’s music is melody-driven and heartfelt — a big-city indie rock fascination with an unmistakable emo accent. Her songs are about queer love, inner healing, signs from the universe, and the power of interiority. Queer Taiko On the stage: 2:20 p.m. Queer Taiko, formed in 2013 by Kristy Aki Oshiro (they/them), is a multi-cultural and intergenerational group of LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies committed to building trans and queer community, representation and visibility through Japanese taiko drumming. FREE GIVEAWAYS! Be one of the first 400 people to visit the Info Booth on the Plaza and snag a FREE clacker fan to keep you cool as you celebrate.
