TNDC 2024 Pool Toss
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – TNDC welcomes all to Pool Toss. Now in its 32nd year, this poolside-party- with-a-purpose raises funds for youth in the Tenderloin After-School Program (TASP), which is a vital service for families living in the Tenderloin. The fundraiser takes place on Thursday, September 26 at the legendary Phoenix Hotel in San Francisco.
Admission includes carnivalesque entertainment along with tasty food and drink. The main event of Pool Toss is cheering on “tossees” as they perform skits before jumping into the hotel pool—costume and all. This year’s six tossees have pledged to raise $15,000 each in support of the kids in TNDC’s after-school program, a year-round service that provides a secure place for Tenderloin youth ages 7- 18 to learn, play, and grow during the critical after-school hours. All proceeds from the event, including ticket sales and on-site donations, support TASP.
LadyRAY of iHeart Radio’s 106 KMEL and This Mama Got Drama podcast will return to preside over the festivities. Joining her will be drag superstar and local activist, Honey Mahogany. The Phoenix hotel restaurant Chambers eat + drink will cook up an ample small-bite dinner menu inspired by the diverse culinary landscape of the Tenderloin neighborhood. The signature cocktail will be the spicy Guzman Gimlet, named by last year’s top fundraising tossee, Daniella Jimenez of Guzman Construction.
Additional entertainment includes Amor do Samba bringing their Afro-Brazilian rhythms and sensuous samba to the party; the Aqualillies turning swimming into poetry, DJ Magic Matt keeping the crowd groovin’ into the night; and Natasha Kaluza, the Supa Dupa Hula Hoopa spinning through the crowd. Lifeguards from Fitness SF will be standing by.
Tossees from years past include players from the San Francisco Giants and San Francisco 49rs, MC Hammer, Team Twitter, Kristi Yamaguchi, Jonny Moseley, Bob Weir, Willie Brown, Gavin Newsom, Todd Traina, Stephan Jenkins, Janet Reilly, Phil Ginsburg, Carey Perloff, Lewis Sykes, John Pritzker, Robert Mailer Anderson, Joanne Hayes-White, the Ladies of Nerdwallet, Hooman, Hubert Keller, and many more!

Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC)
