“TIGRE! TIGRE!” a new outdoor operetta from the Fox & Beggar Theatre
The FOX & BEGGAR THEATER presents its eighth feature-length production, "TIGRE! TIGRE!", a new show about humankind's absurd relationship to technological progress. The story begins at the dawn of the Scientific Revolution, where a pair of Medieval two-dimensional paper dolls are building the first thing to exist in the next dimension-- a human.
Combining puppetry, traditional clown theater, and a live score influenced by everything from Medieval court music to Gilbert & Sullivan, "TIGRE! TIGRE!" explores humanity's relationship to technology while asking the fundamental question: what drives us to perpetually open new doors that we know we won't be able to close?
