Immediately following the film, gain unique insights into its creation during an exclusive discussion with Brit Hensel and her filmmaking team, moderated by the Tulsa Artist Fellowship, offering a rare opportunity to engage with the artists and their creative process. About film: After her sister Tama’s untimely passing, Birdie learns that the bond between them is stronger than life and death. In between states of memory and heartbreak, Tama and Birdie show how we can continue on in a different way if we are willing to listen. About Writer/Director: Brit Hensel (Cherokee Nation): Brit is a Tulsa Artist Fellowship alumna and an Oklahoma-based director, writer and award-winning filmmaker whose work has been featured at Sundance, imagineNATIVE, Hot Docs, and Full Frame. A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, she is the first female enrolled member of the tribe to direct a film selected by the Sundance Film Festival. Hearing Assistance Hearing Loop technology is available in the auditorium for visitors with hearing aids or cochlear implants. Assisted listening devices are also available at the Admissions Desk.
