THE YARD AT FISHERS DISTRICT INVITES THE COMMUNITY TO A PARADE-LIKE ‘FAREWELL TO SANTA’ CEREMONY
The Yard at Fishers District, a mixed-used dining, retail, entertainment and residential development just outside Indianapolis in Fishers, Indiana (https://yardatfishersdistrict.com), invites the community to a heartfelt ‘Farewell to Santa’ ceremony as he departs for the North Pole on Thursday, December 21st, at 7:45 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the conclusion of the center’s final Holiday Open House of the season, also being held on December 21st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. During the Open House event, the Fishers Art Council will host a fun-filled Winter Art Market at Sun King Brewing Company where guests can take part in a jingle bell-making craft, then line up around 7:45 p.m. along Yard Street to wave goodbye to Santa as he leaves the center by horse-drawn carriage, heading back to the North Pole to prepare for Christmas Eve. Adding to the parade-like festivities, the event will also feature Noblesville Marching Millers, a local marching band, as well as complimentary hot cocoa (while supplies last), carriage rides for guests, strolling carolers, a toy soldier stilt walker, and crafts for children and adults. The Farewell to Santa ceremony and the Open House event are both free of charge and open to the public; no pre-registration is required.
