Saddle up for a spectacular weekend of rodeo excitement as the 2nd Annual West’s Most Western Rodeo brings the thrill of the Old West to the WestWorld of Scottsdale Equidome Arena this September 5–7, 2025. The PRCA-sanctioned event will have top-tier rodeo action in the heart of The West’s Most Western Town – the original slogan given to Old Town Scottsdale in 1951. Introduced last year in 2024, this fall rodeo is quickly becoming a welcomed tradition, giving the rodeo community and its fans another event before the 73rd annual Rodeo Scottsdale comes to town March 5 - 8, 2026.
Expected to draw large crowds, the West’s Most Western Rodeo will include:
Hispanic Western Heritage Day on Sunday (7th) honoring the Corral and Noriega families, with special performances by the Caballos Bailadores de Arizona (dancing horses)
Winnings for bull riding that totals $9,500 ($6,000 rolled over from last year)
Live music immediately following the rodeo events both Friday and Saturday night, free and open to the public
Rodeo competitions begin on Friday and Saturday beginning at 7 PM, with a Sunday start at 2 PM. With over three action‐packed days, fans will experience exciting events with the nation’s best cowboys and cowgirls taking on saddle bronc, bareback, tie‐down and team roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, and the always‐thrilling bull riding. The arena will open with the National Anthem, a nod to the patriotism of the event, followed by an after-party of live western music featuring local favorites Harry Luge (Friday night) and the Bart Crow Band (Saturday night), taking the stage right after the rodeo events end. No ticket is required and both concerts are open to the public.
At the heart of this rodeo is Dave Alford, a fourth‐generation Scottsdale cowboy and manager of the Scottsdale Rodeo and the Scottsdale Rodeo Museum. Dave has spent his life preserving Scottsdale’s western spirit. “It’s about honoring Scottsdale’s history, sharing our love of the West with the next generation, and keeping these traditions alive for our community and our country”, Alford says. “My family has been part of this tradition for four generations now. Rodeo and family have always gone hand in hand here at the Scottsdale Rodeo.”
An exciting new addition this year, the last day of the rodeo will be Hispanic Heritage Day, with special ceremonies to honor two of Scottsdale’s oldest Hispanic families that have left a real mark on the city, the Corral Family and the Noriega family. Harvey Noriega himself is part of the Old Town Scottsdale logo and marquee and the Corral name is synonymous with the local Los Olivos restaurants. Sunday will also include a performance from the famed Caballos Bailadores de Arizona and free baseball caps given to the first 500 people, supplied by Boot Barn.
The rodeo is more than a show—it’s a living piece of Scottsdale history, connecting today’s community with the western past, offering visitors a tangible connection between the community of today and its Western heritage.
Tickets for the West’s Most Western Rodeo are 100% digital, with free admission for children five and under. Box seating requires a ticket for every seat, and general admission is first come, first served. Gates open two hours before each performance, and early arrival is recommended.
