SPLENDID TORCH
Massachusetts-based trio Splendid Torch dwells in spontaneity and synthesis, conjuring an unexpectedly broad sound from just three musicians.
Comprised of multi-instrumentalists Lily Sexton (lead vocals, fiddle, guitar), Sean Davis (acoustic and electric guitar, vocals), and Josh Ballard (bass, clawhammer banjo), Splendid Torch calls on textured lyricism, collective rhythmic feel, and poignant vocal performances that evoke the works of George Harrison, Emmylou Harris, The Band, and John Hartford.
Their debut album is due for release in 2025.
