The camp macabre world of Edward Gorey darkens the doorstep of the Newport Theater in a surreal and eccentric theatrical production, July 18-19.
The Uncanny Attic is an absurdist dark comedy told through puppetry, clowning, dance, live music and an unhealthy dose of death co-created and co-produced by Bazuka Joe and The Bunny Royale (Jennifer Friedrich). It’s a world where catastrophic events happen with utter regularity and its inhabitants, particularly children, are an endangered species.
The Uncanny Attic cast includes Bazuka Joe, Connor Konz, Derry- Éire, Eva La Feva, Jennifer Friedrich (The Bunny Royale), Jill Summers, Marla Wyrd, Meaghan Morris, Mr. B, Sunny Haelstorm, Susie Kirkwood, Tyler Garamella and Drew Cohen running sound/lights.
This production is recommended for viewers 18 and older.
