The Sisters of Sotto Voce
Join Sotto Voce for an operatic showcase of some of our founding, continuing, and new artists at our base of operations, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo. Our singers will share operatic excerpts from Mozart (a nod to our recent production of The Magic Flute) and the verismo canon (a preview of our upcoming production of Puccini's Suor Angelica), as well as other operatic classics that speak to shows we hope to take on in the years ahead.
This event is pay-what-you-can. All donations go to support our current production, especially our fabulous artists. Street parking is available on West Ferry Street, and the location is easily walkable to those in the Elmwood Village area. A brief reception will follow.
Featured vocalists are Founding and Artistic Director Jessie Downs; Board Member and founding performer Beth White; returning Assistant Stage Manager from The Second Sight - Na'Mia Kelly; returning performers from The Magic Flute - Rosa Vu, Jamie Gangemi, and Erin Alexander; and one of our newest members - Emily Yancey.
