THE SHOPS AT WALDORF CENTER TO HOST HOLIDAY LIGHT UP CELEBRATION
The Shops at Waldorf Center, an open-air power center located just minutes from the Capital Beltway in Waldorf, Maryland (www.theshopsatwaldorfcenter.com), will host a Holiday Light Up celebration on Friday, November 28th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. outside of PetSmart in the grassy area. This free, family-friendly event honors the diverse holiday traditions of Charles County and features two special lighting ceremonies: a spectacular Tree Lighting beginning at 6 p.m. with a visit from Santa, a DJ spinning festive tunes, hot cocoa, jelly donuts, face painting and a wintery surprise as well as Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza-themed crafts. During this multi-cultural event, there will also be a community Menorah Lighting beginning with a DJ, interactive games, kosher donuts, and gold coins for attendees. Throughout this celebration, guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to The Shops at Waldorf Center “Gift a Smile Toy Drive” benefitting Lifestyles of Maryland, an organization dedicated to serving the underserved throughout Charles County.
