THE SHOPS AT SKYVIEW TO HOLD K-FASHION DAY
The Shops at Skyview, a multi-level shopping destination in Flushing, Queens (https://www.theshopsatskyviewny.com), invites the community to the third in its series of six “K-Fun Summer School” Korean cultural classes in a “Skyview High”-themed format taking place now through early August, with one day during each designated week dedicated to exploring the vibrant and captivating facets of Korean pop music, art, fashion, wellness, food and traditional cultural experiences. On Sunday, July 7th, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the center will hold a celebration of Korean beauty and fashion on Level 4 of the center. On the event stage, SKII will reveal its brand ambassador as well as TWICE Mina’s top skin-care secrets; Sephora will hold a Korean idol makeup demonstration; Dear, Klairs will hold a skincare demonstration featuring its “basic but ultimate” and “mild but powerful” cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers and sunscreens for sensitive skin; and Sek Lab NYC will showcase trending South Korean expert analyses of a client’s facial structure, image, skin tone, eye color and hair color to help match them with the best seasonal outfits. At event booths, attendees can try a mini color analysis from Sek Lab NYC and visit a Korean school fashion photobooth complete with uniforms and accessories. Participants who purchase a t-shirt, hat or tote bag from any Shops at Skyview retailer during this event will receive a complimentary personalized embroidery or iron-on patch from MKC Threads. Participants who have attended more than four of these K-Fun events will receive a “graduation gift” that includes a postcard signed by beloved K-pop star Jung Dae Hyun.
