Our notorious spooktacular returns with a dazzling dark ride through a haunted house of uncensored circus acts, blazing burlesque, shocking sideshow, hard hitting lyricism, scintillating pole performance, raw hip hop and astonishing aerial artistry, all tinged with a monstrous glint of the macabre!
Featuring belly dancing superstar Zoe Jakes from Beats Antique, the jaw dropping torture revivalist Charlie Pain in a new duet with the possessed pianist Lichen White, hilarious stand up comedy with Marcus Howard, occultic aerial artistry by Anna Yanuskevich, necromancer spells from Roxy Mirage from Fou Fou Ha, a Luciferian burlesque act by Jessikr from Flux Vertical Theatre, a Nightmare on Elm Street inspired pole performance by Apsara Sin and many, many more!
Ruckus is a non-stop ride of stunning circus, stand up comedy, freestyle battle rap, dirty haiku bouts, audience interactive mayhem and more. The Huffington Post calls Ruckus “one of the best underground performance art shows in America”. The winner of multiple "Best of the Bay" awards, the SF Chronicle calls our show "a dazzling, inspiring and celebratory display of talent" and “consistently the most spectacular event Oakland has ever seen”.
Every show features an all new lineup, and both the freestyle rap battle and slam are open for anyone to sign up and compete for $400 in cash prizes, judged by the audience!
