The Rowayton Arts Center @RAC Artists Talk with Ben Larrabee and Mindy Green
The Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) will present an @RAC Artists Talk on Wednesday, September 10 at 6 pm. This evening of conversation with RAC Exhibiting Member Ben Larrabee will celebrate the publication of his new photography book Trudie: A Portrait. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
For nearly 30 years, Ben has photographed Trudie throughout the daily rhythm of their life. These photographs capture what he calls Moments of Grace – fleeting glimpses of life we take for granted but rarely see revealed in photographs.
Ben is part of a new show at the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC), “RAC Masters,” on view September 5 through October 4, 2025. This exhibition is a member-only small group show where each participating artist presents a body of work. Other artists include: Bill Gore, Mindy Green, Ira Hara, Nina Nelson, George Radwan, Barbara Shapiro, Lisa Thoren, Kris Toohey and Carol Young. Mindy Green will serve as moderator for the evening.
As Ben explains, "Publishing this book is a milestone on the journey we've shared through photography. These images, taken during our travels and at home, offer an intimate glimpse into our journey as artist and muse, husband and wife."
RAC celebrates the study, creation and appreciation of the arts through classes, exhibitions and events open to all in the community. For over 60 years, this nonprofit organization has been a cultural gem in Rowayton, CT. The gallery and art school overlook the scenic Five Mile River at 145 Rowayton Avenue with space for regional artists to exhibit their art and a classroom for workshops and classes at all levels offered to children and adults.
