"The Right to Read": Film Screening & Discussion
Attend a free documentary film screening of “The Right to Read” on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Honolulu Museum of Art’s Doris Duke Theatre. The film delves into the critical importance of early literacy development in America and the challenges many children face in achieving reading proficiency.
Following the screening will be an insightful discussion with Hawaii State Librarian Stacey Aldrich and teacher/civil rights activist Kareem Weaver.
